Recruitment of Constable (GD) in central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of India has initiated the vacancy of 24369 for the recruitment of Constables (GENERAL DUTY) in paramilitary forces of India as in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau).

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable. The written examination i.e Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted by the Commission only in English and Hindi. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME) will be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  1. NATIONALITY: The candidate must be a citizen of India. 
  2. AGE LIMIT: 18-23 years as of 01-01-2023.
  3. PHYSICAL STANDARD –
    1. HEIGHT:  Male – 170 cms, Female – 157 cms
    2. CHEST:  Male: 80 cm ( Un-expanded) and Minimum expansion: 5 cms

(Note: Chest measurements for female candidates will not be taken.)

  1. EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: Passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)

Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centers finalized by the CAPFs.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits- 

MALEFEMALE 
RACEFor candidates other than those belonging to Ladakh Region5 Kms in 24 minutes.1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes
For candidates of Ladakh Region.1.6 Kms in 6 ½ minutes800 metres in 4 minutes

Medical Examination:

Candidates will be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the pool of candidates who qualify PET/ PST. The shortlisted candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness.
